Narrative:

Departed on the RNAV departure. There was one crossing altitude on the SID which was at zzzzz intersection; between 4600-7000 at 6.1 NM. Shortly after initial climb out the #2 generator tripped off line. While running the QRH for the generator failure; the hydraulic on annunciator was illuminated and noticed. Failure to remove this status results in a hydraulic fire; loss of flaps and landing gear but yet it is a 'white status light' and not a master caution or master warning. Also during the climb out; I was in trail of numerous departing aircraft with reduced separation (2.5 on the TCAS) due to the 'in sight' tower SOP of the aircraft in line up and wait position calling the rotating airplane on the runway in front of it and giving it clearance to take off.approximately 6 miles from zzzzz intersection; ATC inquired if I had been cleared to climb via SID which I reported in the affirmative. The controller then told of the 7000' ceiling and that 'it would make no sense to take you down; climb and maintain flight level 190.' I was approximately at 8000-9000'. There was no TCAS event or traffic conflict.reasons for the incident:single pilotdual system failures shortly after rotationunusual airport configuration; unfamiliar runway and sidheavy workload; long duty day plus stress of congestion at fbodifficult taxi
