Narrative:
On final approach prior to the FAF; the PF called for the landing gear down. I lowered the landing gear handle and the gear did not come down (none of them). I referenced the checklist and recycled the landing gear handle and the gear still did not come down. The checklist called for the gravity extension procedure. We accomplished the procedure and the gear came down and locked with normal indications. We knew the nose wheel steering would not work. The captain landed uneventfully and taxied clear of the runway. I coordinated with ops for a tow vehicle and we were towed to the gate and terminated the emergency uneventfully and accomplished all the normal checklists.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A320 FO reported the landing gear failed to extend using normal procedure; but it did extend using the backup gravity system.
