Narrative:
While on the arrival; we were given a clearance to descend from 7000 to 5000 feet. The autopilot was on and as the flying pilot for this leg I started the descent. At approximately 6000 feet the aircraft started to quickly and violently roll/oscillate from side to side. I disconnected the autopilot and regained control off the aircraft. The descent was continued to 5000 and the captain said we should [advise ATC] and I agreed. We were given a clearance for runway xx and for the remainder of the flight the aircraft operated normally and we landed safely.
