Narrative:
I arrived late to aircraft due to schedule change. First officer briefed departure off runway 17L as per ATC. We taxied out and were cleared to runway 17R via M without any challenge or question from the first officer; but I had an expectation bias for runway 17L so I started taxiing there; but asked the first officer to confirm with ATC. Ground stated that we had been cleared to runway 17R but that we could continue to runway 17L and that no loss of separation or conflict occurred. We continued to runway 17L and took off without incident.slow down; especially during any interruption to regular operations. Confirm clearances; without previous expectations; and in a mindset of separation from my operation so as to compare with expectations. Make sure to brief the first officer to follow all my actions and challenge when anything deviates from brief or expectations.
