Narrative:

At xa:30 I taxied our mooney M20-C to the end of runway 24 and prepared for takeoff. Completed the takeoff checklist. We were barely rolling when the left landing gear collapsed. We then called a mechanic for assistance. A mechanic arrived in ½ hour and called for further assistance to lift the airplane on its gear properly.after working the rest of the day; these mechanics discovered a broken rod end. This broken rod end was replaced. Both mechanics felt that it was safe to fly the airplane 11 miles to airport ZZZ. I was advised however; that we should obtain a ferry permit to make this short flight. I was anxious to get the airplane to ZZZ that evening. At xi:00 local time I took off for ZZZ. On arrival to ZZZ I landed on runway 18 directly into the wind; not using flaps and the gear remaining down. Touchdown was very easy. On roll out; approximately 500 feet after touch down. On roll out; approximately 500 feet after touch down the left gear slowly collapsed again. Damage to the airplane surprisingly was no more than before. The wing drug on the flap hinge and wing damage was not substantial. The tail section had a buckle in the skin below the horizontal stabilizer. The airplane was retrieved and safely placed in a hangar.currently working with insurance to have the airplane repaired in the facility. I was advised to obtain a ferry permit by the mechanics; even though the airplane was declared safe to move to ZZZ. In hindsight I should have not flown the airplane the 11 miles from [my departure airport] and waited to obtain the proper ferry permit.
