Narrative:
Normal flaps 5 selection for departure. Green le flap ext light was illuminated. Testing via takeoff configuration switch was normal. Shortly after the wheels were off the ground; the le flap ext green light went out and the le flap transit light illuminated. We had not touched the flap handle. Flaps still indicated 5. As soon as the le flap transit light illuminated; the stick shaker activated. We were over water. I eased the nose down to stop the shaker. Still climbing out with the flight controls feeling normal. Seemed like a sensor issue. Retracted flaps normally and continued the flight. On approach; flaps extended normally. After landing; flaps retracted normally.
