Narrative:
Right hand engine failure after reaching cruise altitude. Could not maintain FL220 with one engine. Had some altitude excursions (about 400 feet) while establishing stable flight on one engine. Feathered and secured inoperative engine. Contacted center to request descent and deviation. Descent was approved initially to 17000 and deviation to ZZZ was approved.did not [advise ATC of condition] nor requested security services at ZZZ. Security services were however standing by on initiative of local tower. Landed safely on one engine.
