Narrative:

En route mgm-btr, approaching sji at FL350. Radar showed WX well off to right and a small area west of sji. Cleared to deviate as necessary, direct btr when able. Seat belt sign on, F/a's stowing cart and equipment prior to sitting down due to WX anticipated around btr (110 mi ahead). Turned to avoid WX west of sji, began descent. Sudden encounter with severe turbulence while clear of clouds and precipitation aircraft rolled approximately 45 degrees left, then 30 degrees right. No passenger injuries, but all 4 F/a's receives bumps, bruises, strains, and abrasions when cart which they were securing overturned. In looking back I think it would have been best to tell the F/a's not to use the cart at all. We had seat belt lights on due to possible chop. The cart is dangerous in turbulence and it takes 4-5 mins to stow.

Title: CABIN CREW INJURED WHEN SEVERE TURBULENCE IS ENCOUNTERED.

Narrative: ENRTE MGM-BTR, APCHING SJI AT FL350. RADAR SHOWED WX WELL OFF TO RIGHT AND A SMALL AREA W OF SJI. CLRED TO DEVIATE AS NECESSARY, DIRECT BTR WHEN ABLE. SEAT BELT SIGN ON, F/A'S STOWING CART AND EQUIP PRIOR TO SITTING DOWN DUE TO WX ANTICIPATED AROUND BTR (110 MI AHEAD). TURNED TO AVOID WX W OF SJI, BEGAN DSCNT.
