Narrative:
I was vectoring departures on dr-3 and just assumed the position. Air carrier X, an large transport, was briefed, had been turned and told to join the SID. I was vectoring another air carrier behind him on the same route. Air carrier X was climbing to 17000' at 300 IAS. I restr the second air carrier to 300 KTS. Air carrier X flew through the radial 274R (dfw). I asked him if he was going to join the dfw 274 radial because he was 2 mi north of it. His response was 'I was hoping you would clear us direct cde.' I said unable, turn left, heading 260 and join the SID. His request, what he hoped for, is not usual in dfw airspace. The request would have flown through the bridgeport arrival sector. To me this is a clear case of noncompliance and lack of perspective for situational awareness and pilot actions that cause repercussions because of these types of incidents in doing what pilots want or they'll comply when they feel like it. This is a typical outlook or operating method for this company pilots that is, with my own personal experience, not uncommon.

Title: ACR FLEW THROUGH THE INTERCEPT RADIAL IN ANTICIPATION OF A DIRECT ROUTING FROM ATC.
Narrative: I WAS VECTORING DEPS ON DR-3 AND JUST ASSUMED THE POSITION. ACR X, AN LGT, WAS BRIEFED, HAD BEEN TURNED AND TOLD TO JOIN THE SID. I WAS VECTORING ANOTHER ACR BEHIND HIM ON THE SAME ROUTE. ACR X WAS CLIMBING TO 17000' AT 300 IAS. I RESTR THE SECOND ACR TO 300 KTS. ACR X FLEW THROUGH THE RADIAL 274R (DFW). I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO JOIN THE DFW 274 RADIAL BECAUSE HE WAS 2 MI N OF IT. HIS RESPONSE WAS 'I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD CLEAR US DIRECT CDE.' I SAID UNABLE, TURN LEFT, HDG 260 AND JOIN THE SID. HIS REQUEST, WHAT HE HOPED FOR, IS NOT USUAL IN DFW AIRSPACE. THE REQUEST WOULD HAVE FLOWN THROUGH THE BRIDGEPORT ARR SECTOR. TO ME THIS IS A CLEAR CASE OF NONCOMPLIANCE AND LACK OF PERSPECTIVE FOR SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AND PLT ACTIONS THAT CAUSE REPERCUSSIONS BECAUSE OF THESE TYPES OF INCIDENTS IN DOING WHAT PLTS WANT OR THEY'LL COMPLY WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT. THIS IS A TYPICAL OUTLOOK OR OPERATING METHOD FOR THIS COMPANY PLTS THAT IS, WITH MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT UNCOMMON.
