Narrative:
I was picking up some inbound cargo from a flight; when a ramp employee came over complaining about the aft cargo door. The ramp employee said that they had to manually off load the aft cargo area because the aft cargo door was having issues. The problem was that the door wouldn't stay fully open and when it dropped about an inch or so the cargo system automatically shuts down. The ramp employee's called maintenance to see what the problem was and they were told that nothing could be done to correct the issue with that door. The ramp employee said because the door is closing on its own that they don't feel safe operating that cargo door. There is a partial yellow sticker placed on the main cargo door control panel. So there is a problem with the door and it should be fixed no matter the cost; because the life of a team member is worth much more than the price of fixing a door. I shall continue to monitor this aircraft; as shall the ramp employees including the lead to see if the issue is resolved soon. I did ask the ramp employee's to file a report as well.
