Narrative:
Ndz gca controller called pns approach and said they lost radar on military MTR X. We issued instructions and started to vector other aircraft out of way of MTR X. We then found out that ndz turned off the radar for training. This is a very dangerous practice for training west/O prior coordination.

Title: MIL FAC SHUTS OFF GCA FOR TRAINING WHILE AN ACFT WAS ON GCA APCH.
Narrative: NDZ GCA CTLR CALLED PNS APCH AND SAID THEY LOST RADAR ON MIL MTR X. WE ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS AND STARTED TO VECTOR OTHER ACFT OUT OF WAY OF MTR X. WE THEN FOUND OUT THAT NDZ TURNED OFF THE RADAR FOR TRNING. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PRACTICE FOR TRNING W/O PRIOR COORD.
