Narrative:
Aircraft X checked in with approach descending to 5000 feet! I think he was reading the minimum enroute altitudes on the chart instead of the actual crossing altitudes since the bottom altitude on the winng 1 arrival transition is 6000 feet.the optimum profile descents need to stop at the boundary from atl with ZTL ARTCC. This way; the TRACON controllers will know exactly what the aircraft are doing and can take action if needed to protect adjacent airspace and other aircraft.
