Narrative:

In a remote location in the village of perryville, ak. I had 5 seats and 6 passenger on a 6 passenger plane. Departed with 5 people and on climb out learned that the sixth would miss a connecting flight if he did not ride on my plane. Upon recommendations from a senior pilot I returned and made a seat out of baggage. The passenger sat on the luggage with a seat belt on. We then departed and flew to our destination. I was a VFR flight and in mountainous terrain. Daylight was running short, and this increased the pressure because this passenger would have to wait another day. The passenger agreed and thought this was a good idea. This was also a result of poor planning on the part of operations and dispatch. I have a manifest with the people I am supposed to fly. I had 4 on my list and when I got there they wanted me to fly 6. Situations like this arise from time to time and are never easy to handle. When a passenger is screaming about getting on the flight this also makes it harder to turn him/her down. I feel that no matter what the situation is; adherence to the regulations should be our foremost concern. They should never be compromised except in an emergency.

Title: PLT OF ATX SMA ALLOWS A PAX TO RIDE WHILE NOT OCCUPYING A SEAT OR BERTH, BUT WITH A SEAT BELT.

Narrative: IN A REMOTE LOCATION IN THE VILLAGE OF PERRYVILLE, AK. I HAD 5 SEATS AND 6 PAX ON A 6 PAX PLANE. DEPARTED WITH 5 PEOPLE AND ON CLBOUT LEARNED THAT THE SIXTH WOULD MISS A CONNECTING FLT IF HE DID NOT RIDE ON MY PLANE. UPON RECOMMENDATIONS FROM A SENIOR PLT I RETURNED AND MADE A SEAT OUT OF BAGGAGE. THE PAX SAT ON THE LUGGAGE WITH A SEAT BELT ON. WE THEN DEPARTED AND FLEW TO OUR DEST. I WAS A VFR FLT AND IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN. DAYLIGHT WAS RUNNING SHORT, AND THIS INCREASED THE PRESSURE BECAUSE THIS PAX WOULD HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER DAY. THE PAX AGREED AND THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA. THIS WAS ALSO A RESULT OF POOR PLANNING ON THE PART OF OPS AND DISPATCH. I HAVE A MANIFEST WITH THE PEOPLE I AM SUPPOSED TO FLY. I HAD 4 ON MY LIST AND WHEN I GOT THERE THEY WANTED ME TO FLY 6. SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ARISE FROM TIME TO TIME AND ARE NEVER EASY TO HANDLE. WHEN A PAX IS SCREAMING ABOUT GETTING ON THE FLT THIS ALSO MAKES IT HARDER TO TURN HIM/HER DOWN. I FEEL THAT NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS; ADHERENCE TO THE REGS SHOULD BE OUR FOREMOST CONCERN. THEY SHOULD NEVER BE COMPROMISED EXCEPT IN AN EMER.
