Narrative:
Departed ZZZ runway xyr with a normal rotation and initial climb out. At approximately 800 feet AGL a red wind shear alert with aural and annunciated warnings displayed. Preformed wind shear escape maneuver. Alert displayed 3-5 seconds and ended. Monitored aircraft performance and ended the escape maneuver. Remainder of climb was uneventful. No aircraft or engine limitations were exceeded at any point during the maneuver. No ATC clearances were violated during the event.strong low level winds over the airport.there was no external indication for wind shear on the ground. No thunderstorms in the area and weather was VFR. ZZZ sits at the base of mountainous terrain to the north. The winds on the field were calm but at the altitude of our event they were nearly 60 knots. The wind shear took place during the transition in the climb out.
