Narrative:

Encountered wind shear on ILS approach slc runway 34L. Sudden increase of 40 knots resulting in a flap over speed. Configuration was gear down; flaps 3 landing. Wind before the encounter was 190/37. Was having trouble stabilizing speed with the tailwind and was expecting the wind shift to a crosswind for landing. Gust front hit and airspeed immediately increased 40 knots; exceeding flap speed. Executed a go-around for wind shear. No thunderstorm in the forecast.
