Narrative:
Momentary flap 2 overspeed while on approach [to] 4R ewr. Approximately 3000 ft; 200-205 kts; 2-3 seconds. IMC conditions; hand flown; behind a 'heavy' and trying to slow. Turbulence (wake?) drove airspeed to flap limit momentarily. Flaps retracted; slowed and flaps re-extended on schedule and landed normally. Maintenance write up via ACARS.
