Narrative:
#2 engine failed on climb out. Took care of engine shutdown and secured checklists. Notified ATC of engine failure, requested return to hnl and declared emergency. The sudden unexpected failure caused some confusion and indecision, making decisions and ATC calls.

Title: HVT HAD ENGINE FAILURE AFTER DEP HNL.
Narrative: #2 ENG FAILED ON CLBOUT. TOOK CARE OF ENG SHUTDOWN AND SECURED CHKLISTS. NOTIFIED ATC OF ENG FAILURE, REQUESTED RETURN TO HNL AND DECLARED EMER. THE SUDDEN UNEXPECTED FAILURE CAUSED SOME CONFUSION AND INDECISION, MAKING DECISIONS AND ATC CALLS.
