Narrative:
As I was touching down on runway 31L, apparently the tower (mdw) had wanted us to turn off at 22R and roll through 22L. At the time of landing, mdw was using 31L for lndgs and 22 left&right for takeoffs. Upon receipt of the tower request, I (PF) was way too busy to hear or even comply with the request. My first officer did hear it and stated, 'roger.' I turned off at 22L instead of the junction of runway 22L and the e-w taxiway, and was told by tower to call them when I got inside. I spoke to the tower supervisor about the lack of more advanced notice of the turnoff. Supervisor said, 'well, I'm not going to do anything about this.' I also later called back and spoke to the actual controller at the time and we discussed the issue also. Tower request apparently was made as I was just touching down on the main wheels.

Title: COMMUTER SMT MADE TURNOFF ON WRONG RWY AFTER LNDG AT MDW.
Narrative: AS I WAS TOUCHING DOWN ON RWY 31L, APPARENTLY THE TWR (MDW) HAD WANTED US TO TURN OFF AT 22R AND ROLL THROUGH 22L. AT THE TIME OF LNDG, MDW WAS USING 31L FOR LNDGS AND 22 L&R FOR TKOFS. UPON RECEIPT OF THE TWR REQUEST, I (PF) WAS WAY TOO BUSY TO HEAR OR EVEN COMPLY WITH THE REQUEST. MY F/O DID HEAR IT AND STATED, 'ROGER.' I TURNED OFF AT 22L INSTEAD OF THE JUNCTION OF RWY 22L AND THE E-W TXWY, AND WAS TOLD BY TWR TO CALL THEM WHEN I GOT INSIDE. I SPOKE TO THE TWR SUPVR ABOUT THE LACK OF MORE ADVANCED NOTICE OF THE TURNOFF. SUPVR SAID, 'WELL, I'M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS.' I ALSO LATER CALLED BACK AND SPOKE TO THE ACTUAL CTLR AT THE TIME AND WE DISCUSSED THE ISSUE ALSO. TWR REQUEST APPARENTLY WAS MADE AS I WAS JUST TOUCHING DOWN ON THE MAIN WHEELS.
