Narrative:
Taxiing to spot 2 on bravo crew [temporarily] lost control of the aircraft due to a high crosswind forcing the aircraft to turn right into the grass. Instructor pilot was distracted drinking water when this happened. Immediately after the instructor pilot noticed the situation instructor pilot took controls. The right tire momentarily went into the grass. Crew continued taxiing to the ramp without further complications.even though the crew was applying the correct wind correction techniques this does not always work as intended. Crews need to be extra careful in taxi; takeoff; and landing in high crosswind conditions.
