In addition to many previous emails detailing the need for an additional night desk staffed for caribbean; the below message was sent to dispatch sector managers; director and the chief dispatcher. Upon arrival of my night shift; there had been no additional night desk opened as requested. I have signed up for text notifications. There was no text sent regarding the opening of an additional caribbean night desk for this night. These texts go out when the overtime list has been exhausted. This indicates that there was no attempt made to cover/provide an additional caribbean night desk as requested with advance notice. Night shift solo workload tonight; 60+ releases active. Request was made two shifts prior to the subject night shiftthis was caused by:1) poor staffing.2) not paying attention to operational need. 3) disregarding a workload issue brought to attention of management by a dispatch employee. Open and staff; 7 days per week; an additional (2nd) caribbean night desk permanently.
