Narrative:
We were doing the ILS 11 approach into stl. We were cleared for the approach. There was no mention of 'caution wake turbulence'; but we were told of a regional jet landing parallel on runway 12R a few minutes prior. As we were descending from the FAF there was noticeable light turbulence. However; it all of a sudden became violent and caused the aircraft to roll into an uncontrolled 60 degree bank to the left! We overcame the incident and managed to recover just fine. The rest of the flight was uneventful.
