Narrative:
On approach to bdl, unable to get green light for led's, exited pattern and complied with an emergency/abnormal procedures. Long runway 6 was closed with 30 min ppr. After trying flaps again was able to get green light. Another aircraft was cleared to land on runway 6 and as I had a new IOE (initial operating experience) copilot who was having problems with lndgs; we asked tower if it would be a problem to also get runway 6. We advised them we now had all led's out, and a normal landing was made on runway 6.
