Narrative:
On a visual approach I had my first officer put the gear down; and called for the before landing checklist. We got 2 green and 1 red light on the gear indicator. The left main was not down; and also felt that the aircraft began to yaw because of it. We cycled the gear 3 times; and got the same indication each time. We then performed the emergency gear extension checklist; but still had the same gear indication. At this point we were about a 4 mile final; and told tower we are having a gear issue and would like to circle somewhere to see if we can get it down. Right after saying that the left main gear popped down. We continued to land without any other incident.
