Narrative:
On this flight the pilots turned on the seatbelt sign and gave the double chime at the same time. This is happening about 25% of the time on 737 aircraft. They do not seem to understand that we do a trash pickup when the seatbelt sign is turned on the final time. A trash pickup takes time. We are only supposed to do compliance checks when we hear the double chime; then go to our jump seats.

Title: B737 Flight Attendant reported that the pilots did not comply with Company SOP for turning on the seat belt sign and giving the double chime. They are being accomplished simultaneously on some flights.
Narrative: On this flight the pilots turned on the seatbelt sign and gave the double chime at the same time. This is happening about 25% of the time on 737 aircraft.
