Narrative:
I requested that the tow plane take my glider southwest of the field at fairfield, PA. I released at 3000', flew approximately another mi southeast to an area of strong lift, and thermaled to 5800' AGL. While thermaling I could see a lodge and lake complex, which could have been P40 (camp david, md). If it was, I was either close or inside the boundary of P40. The club glider didn't have a sectional, so I am uncertain of where P40 was relative to my position. Realizing I might be in restriction area, I flew northeast, leaving the area of strong lift. A marker or beacon on the ground would have helped. In the future, I will always take my own map.
