Narrative:

Flight departed dfw on a normal flight to pit. There were significant delays on taxiout due to thunderstorms in the area. After 1:55 mins on the ground I decided to return to the gate for more fuel. Once refueled we were underway to pit. Upon arrival at pit we were unable to get the left main gear down light to illuminate. We completed all standard procedure and emergency procedure checklists, but were still unable to get the light to illuminate. I decided to have the emergency equipment standing by while we completed the visibility down and locked check from the cabin. At that point we were able to determine the left main gear was in fact down and locked, and made an uneventful landing. An appropriate log book entry was made and maintenance towed the aircraft to the hangar.
