Narrative:
We were training on the d-side (handoff/coordinator) and coordinated the aircraft direct ZZZ so that the radar controller could clear the aircraft direct when he was above the mia (minimum IFR altitude). The radar controller instead issued the airborne IFR clearance via direct. We must solicit pilot concurrence.

Title: ZAB ARTCC Controller conducting on the job training on the sector's D-Side (Handoff/Coordinator) observed the Radar Controller issue an IFR clearance to an aircraft that was below the Minimum IFR Altitude.
Narrative: We were training on the D-Side (Handoff/Coordinator) and coordinated the aircraft direct ZZZ so that the Radar Controller could clear the aircraft direct when he was above the MIA (Minimum IFR Altitude).
