Narrative:
The flight was a practice flight in the pattern for left traffic runway xx. After touchdown; the aircraft lost stability and the tailwheel aircraft ground looped and the right wing tip and aileron contacted the ground. I was able to have the aircraft inspected by a [maintenance technician] today to determine if there was any damage to the aircraft. He determined that only cosmetic damage occurred and that it was airworthy and that no substantial damage occurred. I plan to contact the manufacturer for further information and to repair the cosmetic damage.lesson learned: execute a go-around as soon as the aircraft is unstable.
