Narrative:
ATC cleared aircraft to turn right to slvaa intersection for ILS prm 27L to atl. As aircraft commenced turn copilot requested a slow turn to avoid weather. Captain queried controller and controller denied request. Crew continued turn and adjusted speed for weather penetration. Crew continued and landed uneventfully.this is a continuing trend where atl controllers fail to grant weather deviations around hazardous weather. Of all the ATC facilities in the us; atlanta is the one that continues to push the envelope and compromise flight safety. Moreover atl knows of this problem and continues to deny its existence.
