Narrative:
Prior to the before takeoff checklist we noticed flaps were not set. We stopped and set the parking break and then set flaps. We then completed appropriate checklists.I have never made this error. Perhaps being more aware of threats. We were distracted by a possible runway change which never came to fruition.
