Narrative:
The situation occurred on taxi out of dfw for runway 17R via taxiway 'right' near taxiway '20'. We were in line for takeoff. I was advised by the F/a that a passenger was up and would not return to his seat. The F/a said he had been told 3 times to be seated and replied 'no' 3 times. I initiated a stop. The passenger fell face up head forward. His head came to rest against center console (in cockpit) his feet in the galley. I returned to the gate where the passenger was treated and removed for observation. The passenger exibited indication of intoxication.
