Narrative:
During approach to runway 2o2r at rd when the landing gear was extended. On down and lock indication was obtained on the right main gear. This was the arrival airport for flight from pdx. A missed approach was initiated with the gear left in the down position. When the right main gear indicator was removed to try to replace possible burned out light bulbs, the indicator broke so that it would not seat in its socket. It would, however, push in and test positive when checked. The left main indicator light (indicating down and locked) was removed to try to put it into the right main socket to check for down and locked. The left indicator broke on removal and could not be inserted into any socket. A light bulb was then removed from the left gear indicator lights and placed in the right indicator. The right indicator was then inserted into the right socket and tested positive that the gear was down and locked. A normal landing was completed. No emergency was declared.

Title: BURNED OUT LIGHT BULB ON RIGHT LNDG GEAR INDICATOR PROVIDES SOME DIVERSION AND CREATES A GAR FOR AN ACR MLG.
Narrative: DURING APCH TO RWY 2O2R AT RD WHEN THE LNDG GEAR WAS EXTENDED. ON DOWN AND LOCK INDICATION WAS OBTAINED ON THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR. THIS WAS THE ARR ARPT FOR FLT FROM PDX. A MISSED APCH WAS INITIATED WITH THE GEAR LEFT IN THE DOWN POS. WHEN THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR INDICATOR WAS REMOVED TO TRY TO REPLACE POSSIBLE BURNED OUT LIGHT BULBS, THE INDICATOR BROKE SO THAT IT WOULD NOT SEAT IN ITS SOCKET. IT WOULD, HOWEVER, PUSH IN AND TEST POSITIVE WHEN CHKED. THE LEFT MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT (INDICATING DOWN AND LOCKED) WAS REMOVED TO TRY TO PUT IT INTO THE RIGHT MAIN SOCKET TO CHK FOR DOWN AND LOCKED. A NORMAL LNDG WAS COMPLETED. NO EMER WAS DECLARED.
