Narrative:
We were en route with a clearance RNAV direct to hmv VOR using dual omega for navigation backed up by dual VOR. We had just received clearance to proceed direct to the shine intersection 40 DME fix on the 300 degree right of clt VOR (on the shine 1 arrival to charlotte). The first officer and I both updated our omegas for the direct routing. As the first officer was making the small turn for the routing change I made a comparison of the steering and distance to the new fix. When I realized that the 2 omegas were giving different information, we rechked the latitude and long coordinates. They were different. I asked ZID for the correct coordinates. They suggested I ask ZTL. After the frequency change ZTL verified that the coordinates that my first officer was flying by were correct and that mine were wrong. We discovered this very early on and the correct coordinates were the ones we were navigating by, so I don't believe any navigation errors were committed. Further research verified that the incorrect coordinates I was using were taken from my company's computer flight plan. On arrival I checked with my dispatcher and the check airman on duty. The conclusion was that my company's coordinates were incorrect (reason unknown, but possible lack of update after relocation of intersection 6 months ago). I was assured that the 'correct' coordinates would be on future releases and that an alert would go out for omega equipped aircraft presently inbound to that fx. Moral: xchk everything--don't always assume company produced information is correct.

Title: ACR FLT CREW USING 2 OMEGA HAS WRONG COORDINATES SET IN 1. NAVIGATING ON CORRECT ONE, HOWEVER.
Narrative: WE WERE ENRTE WITH A CLRNC RNAV DIRECT TO HMV VOR USING DUAL OMEGA FOR NAV BACKED UP BY DUAL VOR. WE HAD JUST RECEIVED CLRNC TO PROCEED DIRECT TO THE SHINE INTXN 40 DME FIX ON THE 300 DEG R OF CLT VOR (ON THE SHINE 1 ARR TO CHARLOTTE). THE F/O AND I BOTH UPDATED OUR OMEGAS FOR THE DIRECT RTING. AS THE F/O WAS MAKING THE SMALL TURN FOR THE RTING CHANGE I MADE A COMPARISON OF THE STEERING AND DISTANCE TO THE NEW FIX. WHEN I REALIZED THAT THE 2 OMEGAS WERE GIVING DIFFERENT INFO, WE RECHKED THE LAT AND LONG COORDINATES. THEY WERE DIFFERENT. I ASKED ZID FOR THE CORRECT COORDINATES. THEY SUGGESTED I ASK ZTL. AFTER THE FREQ CHANGE ZTL VERIFIED THAT THE COORDINATES THAT MY F/O WAS FLYING BY WERE CORRECT AND THAT MINE WERE WRONG. WE DISCOVERED THIS VERY EARLY ON AND THE CORRECT COORDINATES WERE THE ONES WE WERE NAVIGATING BY, SO I DON'T BELIEVE ANY NAV ERRORS WERE COMMITTED. FURTHER RESEARCH VERIFIED THAT THE INCORRECT COORDINATES I WAS USING WERE TAKEN FROM MY COMPANY'S COMPUTER FLT PLAN. ON ARR I CHKED WITH MY DISPATCHER AND THE CHK AIRMAN ON DUTY. THE CONCLUSION WAS THAT MY COMPANY'S COORDINATES WERE INCORRECT (REASON UNKNOWN, BUT POSSIBLE LACK OF UPDATE AFTER RELOCATION OF INTXN 6 MONTHS AGO). I WAS ASSURED THAT THE 'CORRECT' COORDINATES WOULD BE ON FUTURE RELEASES AND THAT AN ALERT WOULD GO OUT FOR OMEGA EQUIPPED ACFT PRESENTLY INBND TO THAT FX. MORAL: XCHK EVERYTHING--DON'T ALWAYS ASSUME COMPANY PRODUCED INFO IS CORRECT.
