Narrative:

I was the captain of flight on 6/90 flying from mia to sju. Upon descent while listening to sju ATIS, found out that sju had low clouds. I decided to check the landing data information for my aircraft on large transport series X. Found out that the flight handbook did not have this information. It only had data for an large transport series Y aircraft. My alternate was santo domingo. Found out that the flight handbook did not have the landing data for a series X, either. The company was told about this deficiency. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter called back after initial call. Major different between the 2 series was that the aircraft rptrs had that day did not have an omega navigation system and it was not needed for the short leg on that flight. Normally, the aircraft and flight is on a longer leg to that destination, but this apparently was a non-routine situation. Chief pilot and dispatch office were notified by flight crew and appropriate measures are being taken to correct the situation.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR CALLED BACK AFTER INITIAL CALL.
