Dispatch became aware of multiple north korean missile launches from an inquiry from a company aircraft. This desk had one flight headed to south korea; one flight headed through south korean airspace; and two flights headed to japan. The missiles were launched off the east coast of north korea towards japan. Chief dispatcher researched this incident and advised the dispatchers that corporate security had been advised approximately four hours prior about the missile launch and chose not to advise the dispatchers. Dispatch can only speculate on why this information was withheld.

Title: Air Carrier Dispatcher reported that Dispatchers were not advised by their company of missile launches which could have affected the safety of flights operating near the launch area.
