Narrative:
On the evening of 6/xx/90, at approximately X30,I flew into the mem TCA under VFR flight following and was assigned runway 21. I was taking a baby who had been seriously injured and his family to a medical specialist. On final, I was told to hold short of runway 27 by the tower. I was not able to bring the aircraft to a complete stop until just on the other side of runway 27, but I did search quickly for intersecting traffic and there was none. I therefore took no drastic measures and attempted to notify the tower that I would have to cross. I believe they got such a message and asked if I had understood the original instructions. My answer was, 'yes sir.' the remainder of the procedure to the ramp was normal and uneventful.
