Narrative:
Approximately 140 mi from atl, inbound on the mem transition, so noticed a system quantity decreasing (large transport) quantity of the system indication was below 2.5 gals. This was immediately accompanied by a flash of the #1 low pressure light and a fluctuation of system a hydraulic pressure. I immediately initiated hydraulic system leak or loss emergency checklist and all subsequent follow-up checklists. An emergency was declared and an uneventful landing was made on runway 27R in atl. Aircraft was towed in.
