Narrative:
F/a advised passenger cabin was extremely warm and there was smoke and an electrical smell in the cabin. The crew immediately complied with our emergency procedures and returned to msp west/O incident. After isolating the problem to the left air cycle machine we shut off the bleed air on the left side. The smoke and electrical smell stopped at this point. After landing we determined that an evacuation was not warranted due to no smoke in the cabin.
