Narrative:
During a night VFR visibility approach to runway 25R at lax, as we crossed the extended runway end zone, we observed something shiny below us on the ground. I was flying the approach and landing and concentrating on the landing threshold and T/D zone position and only observed a brief shiny grey object moving under my field of vision. The captain had reached up with both hands to the controls and throttles during this time, and then withdrew his hands. I completed the approach and landing, touching down approximately 1500' from the runway end lights. As we rolled out, the captain and second officer began talking: 'did you know what that was?', and, 'did you see that?' area where air carrier Y widebody transport was holding is unlit and from above and behind no lights on the widebody transport are easily seen. Supplemental information from acn 150070: because of 1046' displaced threshold on 25R, we were able to safely land over widebody transport and really had no time for go around at point of observance.

Title: ACR WDB LANDED OVER THE TOP OF ACR Y WDB HOLDING IN POSITION ON RWY 25R AT LAX.
Narrative: DURING A NIGHT VFR VIS APCH TO RWY 25R AT LAX, AS WE CROSSED THE EXTENDED RWY END ZONE, WE OBSERVED SOMETHING SHINY BELOW US ON THE GND. I WAS FLYING THE APCH AND LNDG AND CONCENTRATING ON THE LNDG THRESHOLD AND T/D ZONE POS AND ONLY OBSERVED A BRIEF SHINY GREY OBJECT MOVING UNDER MY FIELD OF VISION. THE CAPT HAD REACHED UP WITH BOTH HANDS TO THE CTLS AND THROTTLES DURING THIS TIME, AND THEN WITHDREW HIS HANDS. I COMPLETED THE APCH AND LNDG, TOUCHING DOWN APPROX 1500' FROM THE RWY END LIGHTS. AS WE ROLLED OUT, THE CAPT AND S/O BEGAN TALKING: 'DID YOU KNOW WHAT THAT WAS?', AND, 'DID YOU SEE THAT?' AREA WHERE ACR Y WDB WAS HOLDING IS UNLIT AND FROM ABOVE AND BEHIND NO LIGHTS ON THE WDB ARE EASILY SEEN. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 150070: BECAUSE OF 1046' DISPLACED THRESHOLD ON 25R, WE WERE ABLE TO SAFELY LAND OVER WDB AND REALLY HAD NO TIME FOR GAR AT POINT OF OBSERVANCE.
