Narrative:
After opening the left engine thrust reverser on aircraft (to facilitate other maintenance) found tool (large pair of side cutters) that was left inside. It was hanging on one of the igniter conduits. Inspected the conduit and surrounding brackets and parts found no damage. Lack of tool control and a tool inventory after maintenance was performed. An inspection should have been done before closing the engine. Remind maintenance to inventory tools and conduct an inspection after completing maintenance.
