Narrative:
Upon arrival in ZZZ we were given instructions to taxi to our gate by ground and we proceeded as instructed. After parking at the gate the agent told us that a (other carrier) aircraft came very close to the back of our aircraft and had to brake to avoid us. I had the right side of the aircraft visually cleared all the way from the runway to the gate and can remember keeping a vigilant eye on clearing the right area as we turned right from the taxiway and ramp into the gate. I'm unsure how we could have been more alert and the captain and I felt we had been alert and diligent in our operation.
