Narrative:
On climb out; passing around 5000 ft; about the time the flaps indicated fully retracted; got red EICAS 'flaps' and red 'configuration' warn light and both master 'warn' lights and loud aural warning that we could not silence. Also amber 'TCAS' EICAS and 'speed lmt' at bottom of both speed tapes on pfds. Had an lca (line check airman) in the jump seat giving us a 'line check'. After consulting with dispatch and [maintenance control] and three cockpit pilots; we all agreed we need to return. Cockpit communication was difficult when the aural warning was sounding. We [advised ATC] and landed. Returned to gate.
