Narrative:

A chime and cas message alerted the crew to the warning of left engine oil press low. Referenced QRH for the red cas message and followed the checklist. Performed precautionary shutdown of the left engine and [advised] ATC. Continued to destination. [A] maintenance person was the solo passenger aboard the flight and was present on the flight deck when the cas message was received. Upon landing; the engine oil filler cap was found to be hanging by its strap (not in the secured position). Evidence of engine oil was on the engine cowling as well.
