Narrative:
After returning to the gate for a ground stop at our destination; the aircraft was parked and chocked with the parking brake set. We had 48 passengers onboard and most deplaned to be re-accommodated or relax in the terminal until the ATC update was received. Approximately 15 minutes after the gate return the first officer and I heard a noise and felt the aircraft jolt like a large piece of cargo was loaded. Since the cargo bin doors were closed I went down to the ramp to investigate. I met a ramp agent who explained to me he had struck the aircraft with a belt loader and that there were no injuries.he showed me the location where the loader impacted the aircraft and I told him that a mechanic would have to inspect the area to determine the extent of the damage. I contacted my dispatcher to inform him of the incident and to advise maintenance control as well. A mechanic arrived shortly after to begin repairs to a VHF radio antenna that absorbed the impact. The chief pilot on call requested that I call him to verify the facts of the incident and we departed shortly after we spoke on a different aircraft.
