Narrative:
Military flight from cherry point, nc, to norton AFB original routing was j-arwys over palm springs as filed, then arrival. Near abq we requested direct psp from abq center. Controller wanted to check with lax center. He came back and cleared us to join J-10 29 palms direct. I read back clearance and placed it in FMC. After entry but before execution, I noticed that routing by passed STAR completely. I asked abq center to confirm 'J-10 tnp direct norton.' controller confirmed. About 20-30 mi east of tnp, ATC asked if we were proceeding direct psp. I replied negative and read to him our clearance. He questioned it and I informed that source was abq center. He then gave me ATC phone number and supervisor name. As a practicing attorney, I would not advise a client to make such a call as damaging admissions could be made. But I did it. I called, explained clearance, source, etc. Supervisor said there would be nothing further. He explained that rerte was never entered into computer. He's taking it up with abq center.
