Narrative:
Controller advised me to make straight in runway 22 and report 3 mi final. Controller did not advise large transport traffic on final runway 32. I reported traffic to controller who refused to describe type of traffic, destination, etc. The PIC broke off the approach to runway 22 as a conflict at the runway intersection was imminent. The controller contributed to this incident by not advising us of traffic landing on an intersecting runway and refusing to give specific information about traffic after we requested it. I think this controller demonstrated a lazy attitude toward traffic sep and should be removed from position.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CGA ON FINAL COMPLAINS ABOUT ACR LNDG ON CROSSING RWY AND MAKES BROKE OFF APCH.
Narrative: CTLR ADVISED ME TO MAKE STRAIGHT IN RWY 22 AND RPT 3 MI FINAL. CTLR DID NOT ADVISE LGT TFC ON FINAL RWY 32. I RPTED TFC TO CTLR WHO REFUSED TO DESCRIBE TYPE OF TFC, DEST, ETC. THE PIC BROKE OFF THE APCH TO RWY 22 AS A CONFLICT AT THE RWY INTXN WAS IMMINENT. THE CTLR CONTRIBUTED TO THIS INCIDENT BY NOT ADVISING US OF TFC LNDG ON AN INTERSECTING RWY AND REFUSING TO GIVE SPECIFIC INFO ABOUT TFC AFTER WE REQUESTED IT. I THINK THIS CTLR DEMONSTRATED A LAZY ATTITUDE TOWARD TFC SEP AND SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM POS.
