Narrative:
After getting clearance to enter the ny TCA to do a sight seeing trip of manhattan, approach advised that they were too busy to give advisories to me in the excursion area. After completing the final pass of the city heading northbound on the hudson, I attempted to receive clearance to reenter the ny TCA. They had advised me that I was out of the TCA and they were unable to let me in. Using RNAV and pilotage I rted around the ny TCA. I was not clear of why I really entered the TCA until the next morning when I looked at the RNAV, and the led display was easily readable. On the RNAV the led display was very broken and faded. The RNAV coordination for islip ny (isp) are the 252.7 from CCC at 15.9 NM, what was really on there was 45.9. After realizing this I immediately turn eastbound but at this time ATC, which I was monitoring, called me up and stated that I have entered and violated kennedy's airspace. Due to poor visibility, improper RNAV readout, disorientation occurred and error was made.
