Narrative:
I was a freighter flying empty coming back to ZZZ. This was my last flight of the day. I had topped both fuel tanks off prior to departing ZZZ. On short and final the engine started to lose power and start sputtering. At that time I told ZZZ tower that I had an engine failure. I then looked over at my fuel gauges and realized the left tank was reading 1/4 of a tank. I reached down and turned the fuel selector to the right tank and turned the fuel pump on. At that time the engine was still sputtering; I knew I could make a safe landing on the taxiway. Once I landed on the taxiway tower asked if I needed any assistance I told tower no and was able to get it started to taxi off the taxiway to the ramp.
