Narrative:
Upon arrival I failed to set the parking brake. I thought I had; but I had not. The aircraft rolled backward; I am guessing about 20 ft; before I noticed. I applied the brakes; and then set the parking brake. No passengers; crew; or ground crew were injured. No equipment was damaged. I failed to pay sufficient attention to detail.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A319 flight crew reported the aircraft rolled back about 20 feet from the gate when the brakes were not properly set.
