Narrative:
Unexpected turbulence was encountered at FL330 just west of crp VOR. We were deviating to the west to remain clear of clouds. The clouds were not showing on the radar and turbulence was occasional and light. Just prior to descent we were jolted by 2 very sudden blasts of moderate turbulence. Seat belt sign on. The F/a fell to the floor, striking her tail bone causing injury. After determining her condition and coordinating with company personnel, paramedics met the aircraft at the gate. Hou ARTCC was notified of turbulence.
